Terms and Conditions
Last updated: August 2026. Generic draft, to be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before publication.
1. Who we are and what we offer
Barti is an online service operated by Chirali Bahar, registered at Strada Gualdo Centro 6, 05035 Narni (TR), Italy, VAT number IT01759710559, Italian tax code CHRBHR82D66Z211F. Barti provides creative missions in PDF form designed for children aged 6 to 12: the child creates the artwork in the real world, with no video to copy, and the guardian uploads a photograph of the work to complete the mission and unlock digital rewards (avatars, badges, bonus missions).
2. Accounts
An account may be created only by a parent or legal guardian who is an adult. The account holder is responsible for the accuracy of the details provided, for keeping login credentials secure, and for activity carried out through the account. Email verification is required.
3. Child profiles
An account may hold one or more child profiles. Each profile is personal and keeps its missions, credits, artwork and rewards separate; progress cannot be transferred between profiles. Please use a made-up nickname and do not enter the child's personal details.
4. Plans, prices and payments
Available plans and prices are shown on the "Plans & Pricing" page. Prices are in euro for the Italian market and in pounds sterling for the United Kingdom; the amounts for each currency are set independently and are not produced by automatic conversion. Payments are processed by Stripe: we neither handle nor store your full card details. Access to paid content is activated only after Stripe confirms the payment.
5. Subscriptions, renewals and cancellation
Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the price then applicable, unless cancelled. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the "Plan and payments" section of the member area at no extra cost: subject to the refund guarantee in section 6, cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for and does not entitle you to a refund for the current period, except where the law provides otherwise. Completed missions, artwork and rewards stay saved after cancellation and become available again when a plan is reactivated. Plan changes (monthly ⇄ annual) are confirmed on Stripe's secure page, which shows the exact amount and effective date before anything is charged. If a payment fails we may suspend access to paid content.
6. 14-day refund guarantee and right of withdrawal
Subscriptions. Every new subscription (monthly or annual) is covered by our refund guarantee: cancel it within 14 days of the first payment, directly from the member area, and we refund in full every amount paid for that subscription to the card used — even if missions have already been started or completed. With the refund, access to the family area is suspended; completed missions, artwork and rewards stay saved and become available again when a plan is reactivated. This guarantee is more favourable than the statutory right of withdrawal and absorbs it.
One-off purchases (trial pack, extra missions). If you purchase as a consumer you may withdraw within 14 days. As these are digital contents, by starting a mission or downloading a PDF before the 14 days expire you acknowledge that performance begins immediately and that the right of withdrawal is lost for the part already supplied. To exercise it, write to contact@playbarti.com.
7. Missions, credits and the 48-hour limit
Each plan grants a number of missions (credits). The monthly and annual plans provide 4 core missions per monthly cycle plus 1 bonus mission, which unlocks once at least 3 of the 4 core missions are completed.
When you press "Start Mission" the PDF becomes available and a 48-hour timer starts for uploading a photograph of the artwork. The countdown is determined by our servers; your device clock has no effect on it. After 48 hours uploading closes, the mission is recorded as expired and the credit used is not restored; the subscription remains active and the child can move on to the next mission. Our team may, at its discretion and in exceptional cases, reopen a mission or restore a credit.
8. Extra missions and sibling discount
Extra mission packs can be purchased only from the member area and only by accounts meeting the eligibility conditions shown at the time of purchase. The sibling discount, where active, applies according to the published conditions (percentage, eligible plans, minimum number of child profiles, and any usage limits).
9. Uploaded artwork and the Little Artists' Gallery
Uploaded artwork remains the property of the child and their family. By uploading artwork you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and process it solely in order to provide the service.
Artwork is private by default. Accepting these Terms does not permit any publication: these Terms contain no Gallery consent, and accepting them grants none.
Permission to publish in the Gallery. If you want it, you turn it on separately for each child from "Child profiles" in the member area. It is optional: the service works exactly the same without it. With permission on, our team may select that child's artwork and publish it in the public Gallery on this website; selection is manual and not every artwork is published.
Publication is always anonymous: we never show the child's name, nickname, age, face, school, location or any other personal data. Only a title, an award mention (for example "Most Creative") and the month of publication may appear alongside the artwork.
You can withdraw this permission at any time, without giving a reason and at no cost, from the same screen. Withdrawal takes effect immediately: your child's published artwork is removed from the Gallery and its public links stop working. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of publication before it, and does not remove rewards already earned.
Private links. Separately from the Gallery, you can create a shareable link for a single artwork yourself, from the member area. The link is created only when you ask for it, shows the artwork anonymously, is kept out of search engines, and you can switch it off whenever you like.
10. Acceptable use
Please do not upload offensive, unlawful or infringing content, do not upload images showing faces or identifying details, do not attempt to access areas or data you are not authorised to reach, and do not use the service for commercial purposes without agreement. We may suspend or close an account in the event of serious or repeated breaches.
11. Intellectual property
Missions, texts, illustrations, avatars, badges, trade marks and all other platform content belong to Chirali Bahar or its licensors. Materials are provided for personal and family use: they may not be resold, distributed, published or used for commercial or group teaching purposes without written permission.
12. Availability and liability
We work to keep the service available and secure, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation; interruptions may occur for maintenance or for reasons beyond our control. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amounts paid in the twelve months preceding the event. Nothing in these terms limits the statutory rights of consumers.
13. Safety during activities and parental supervision
Missions are creative activities carried out at home and may involve everyday materials and tools (for example scissors, pliers, forks, glue and paints). Supervising the child throughout each activity is the sole responsibility of the parent or guardian, who must judge whether each tool is suitable for the child's age and ability and provide a safer alternative where needed.
To the extent permitted by law, Chirali Bahar is not responsible for injuries or accidents occurring during the activities, nor for damage to furniture, furnishings, clothing, surfaces or other household items caused by the materials or tools used. It is the parent's responsibility to set up a suitable, protected working area and to keep tools out of children's reach when they are not being used under supervision.
14. Changes
We may update these terms, for example to reflect changes to the service or the law. Material changes will be announced on the website or by email with reasonable notice.
15. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by Italian law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence. For assistance, write to contact@playbarti.com.
