The Scrap Paper Cat
Paper that was heading for the bin becomes a collage cat.
What the child does
Children collect scraps of paper and card that would have been thrown away — magazines, wrapping paper, boxes — and cut or tear them into shapes: ears, whiskers, a tail, patches of fur. Glued onto a sheet of paper, they become their very own scrap paper cat.
