Materials
- 1 sheet of white paper
- 2 flat objects found around the house (bottle tops, coins, buttons, leaves, tickets…)
- Pencil
- Coloured pencils, crayons or markers
What it develops
- Imagination — starts from a real shape, not from a model to copy
- Observation — looks at an ordinary object and sees a head, a face, a personality
- Storytelling — speech bubbles give the characters a voice and a story
- Independent decisions — they decide what the objects become and when the artwork is finished
